Northeast Denver is anchored by the very successful brownfield redevelopment of the former Stapleton International Airport, a master planned community in the New Urbanist format, which is a mixed use development featuring every type of housing from apartment and condo to single family home. Additionally, the Northfield shopping area provides a hub for retail in the area.  

Northeast Denver also provides easy access to Aurora and the Fitzsimmons Medical Complex via Interstate 70, Interstate 225, LightRail, the new A-Line Commuter Rail line, and of course the quickest access to Denver International Airport.
